Overview
What this tool does
Cut a clip out of an audio file without uploading it anywhere. The Audio Trimmer runs entirely in your browser: load an MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG, set a start and end point, and download just that section. Keep the original format for an instant, lossless cut, or convert the clip to MP3, WAV, or M4A on the way out. Because it all happens on your device, your audio never leaves your computer, there is no watermark, no signup, and no daily limit. Great for ringtones, podcast snippets, samples, and voiceovers.
How to
Use it in 3 steps
- Upload an audio file. It stays on your device and nothing is sent to a server.
- Play it and use the Use current buttons to set the start and end from the playback position, or type the seconds.
- Choose to keep the format (instant) or convert to MP3, WAV, or M4A, then click Trim audio.
- Download the clip. No watermark.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
▶Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The trim runs in your browser with WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device. That is why it is private and free.
▶Will trimming reduce the quality?
Keeping the same format copies the audio without re-encoding, so there is no quality loss. Converting to another format re-encodes the clip at a high bitrate.
▶Is there a watermark or a size limit?
No watermark. Audio files up to 200MB are supported.
