Overview
What this tool does
Cut a clip out of a video without uploading it anywhere. The Video Trimmer runs entirely in your browser: load a video, scrub to the moment you want, set a start and end point, and download just that section. Two modes are included. Fast trims by copying the stream, so it is instant and keeps the original quality, cutting at the nearest keyframe. Precise re-encodes for a frame-accurate cut when you need the exact start and end. Because everything happens on your device, your video never leaves your computer, there is no watermark, no signup, and no daily limit.
How to
Use it in 3 steps
- Upload a video. It stays on your device and nothing is sent to a server.
- Play it and use the Use current buttons to set the start and end from the playback position, or type the seconds directly.
- Pick Fast (instant, keeps quality) or Precise (re-encodes for an exact cut), then click Trim clip.
- Download the clip. It is a clean MP4 with no watermark.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
▶Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The trim runs in your browser with WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device. That is why it is private and free.
▶What is the difference between Fast and Precise?
Fast copies the video stream without re-encoding, so it is instant and lossless, but it can only cut on keyframes, so the start may land a fraction of a second early. Precise re-encodes to cut exactly where you set it, which is slower.
▶Is there a watermark or a size limit?
No watermark. Videos up to 500MB are supported. Precise mode on long clips can take a while because it re-encodes on your device.
